Good afternoon, PCE Families!
What an amazing week we had at Peach Creek Elementary! Last week was filled with excitement as we celebrated Red Ribbon Week and ended the week with our wonderful Fall Parties! It was so much fun seeing our students participate in all the activities, make memories with their classmates, and enjoy time together. Thank you to all our families who helped make these celebrations so special!
Instructional Focus This Nine Weeks Our Wildcats have started the second nine weeks strong! One of the most exciting things happening in our classrooms is seeing students take ownership of their learning. Our students have been celebrating their individual academic growth, setting personal academic goals, and tracking their progress. We love seeing our Wildcats recognize how much they have grown while also identifying what they want to accomplish next. Building this growth mindset and helping students understand their own learning is such an important part of the work we are doing at PCE!
As we begin another great week, our focus continues to be on providing strong, high-quality Tier I instruction in every classroom, every day. Our teachers are working intentionally to create engaging learning experiences that challenge students, encourage academic discussions, and support continued growth. We are also committed to ensuring every student receives the individualized support they need through our daily intervention time. Whether students need additional support to strengthen a skill or opportunities to extend their learning, our goal is to meet every student where they are and help them continue moving forward.
Giving Back This November! This month, we are especially excited to teach our Wildcats about the importance of kindness, generosity, and the gift of giving to others in need! PCE is partnering with campuses across Splendora ISD to help provide Thanksgiving meals for families in our community. Each campus has been tasked with collecting specific items, and PCE has been challenged to collect 200 packages of mashed potatoes! We are excited to work together to reach this goal while teaching our students that even small acts of kindness can make a BIG difference in the lives of others. A huge thank you to all of our families who have already donated! Your generosity and willingness to give back are what make our PCE community so special. We cannot wait to see our Wildcats come together to help make Thanksgiving a little brighter for families in need!
Most importantly, I want to thank each of you for your continued partnership, support, and trust in our PCE team. We know that student success is a team effort, and we are incredibly grateful to work alongside such wonderful families. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your child's educational journey and for supporting the important work happening on our campus each day.

Fall Picture Make-Ups – Tuesday, November 3rd!
Picture Day is back at PCE! This Tuesday, November 3rd, we will have our Fall Picture Make-Up Day for any Wildcats who were absent or missed our original picture day. We want to make sure every Wildcat has the opportunity to capture their school-year smile! Come dressed in your picture-day best and ready to smile BIG! We can't wait to see those amazing Wildcat smiles! |
As we welcome our PCE Wildcats each morning, we kindly ask that all families dropping off students use the designated car rider line. When vehicles park and families walk students to the front entrance, it can cause congestion and slow down the car rider line for everyone.
Please know that we have designated staff members ready to greet and help walk our littlest Wildcats safely to their classrooms, so they are in great hands from the moment they arrive! Using the car rider line helps us keep morning arrival safe, smooth, and efficient for all of our Wildcats.
We also understand that some mornings can be a little more difficult, and a student may have trouble saying goodbye to their parent or guardian. If your student is having difficulty transitioning out of the vehicle, we will kindly ask you to park so we can keep the car rider line moving. Our PCE staff will work with your student to help them transition into their school day, and if additional support is needed, we will ask for your assistance to help them feel comfortable and ready to begin their day at PCE.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and partnership as we work together to help every Wildcat start their day safely, smoothly, and successfully! |
For the safety of all of our Wildcats, it is extremely important that families who utilize car rider dismissal have their car rider tag displayed each and every day. These tags help our staff quickly identify approved vehicles and ensure that every student is released safely to the correct person.
If you need a car rider tag, please make sure to obtain one prior to dismissal. If you arrive for car rider dismissal without a tag, you will be asked to park and wait until car rider dismissal has concluded before coming inside to receive a tag and pick up your student.
We appreciate your understanding, patience, and partnership as we work together to keep every Wildcat safe during dismissal!

Families, we appreciate your partnership in making attendance a priority. Please help us ensure that students arrive on time and are ready to learn by 8:35 a.m. and remain at school for the full instructional day until dismissal at 4:10 p.m. Being present from bell to bell helps our Wildcats maximize their learning, stay connected to their classroom community, and continue making progress toward their individual goals. Thank you for helping us make every day count as we live out our mission: Every Student, Every Day; Mission: Growth Ready!
Splendora ISD follows Texas Education Code §25.092, which requires students to attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered in order to earn credit or be promoted. This state rule applies to all absences, excused or unexcused. and includes both full and partial days. Being here each day, from start to finish, gives our Wildcats every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Together, we can make every day count!

We love welcoming our families to PCE to enjoy lunch with their Wildcats! As a friendly reminder, space in our cafeteria is limited, and all designated visitor seating is located on the stage. If the stage reaches capacity, additional seating will be available in our Community Room near the front office.
To help us maintain a safe, organized, and enjoyable lunch environment, students may eat with their approved visitor(s); however, friends or other students are not permitted to join them at the visitor tables or in the Community Room. This helps ensure we have enough space for all of our visiting families while allowing our cafeteria routines to continue running smoothly. For the safety and security of all of our Wildcats, we kindly ask that visitors remain only in the designated areas of the building. After checking in through the front office, lunch visitors should travel directly to and from the cafeteria or designated Community Room seating area. We ask that visitors please do not walk through or visit other areas of the building during their visit. If an adult needs to use the restroom while on campus, the designated adult restroom is located in the front office. Our front office team will be happy to assist you.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued partnership in helping us keep PCE safe while making lunchtime a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our students and families. We truly appreciate your help in keeping Every Student, Every Day safe and ready to learn! |
As we move into a new week, let's continue encouraging our students to make healthy, positive, and responsible choices each day! The lessons and conversations surrounding Red Ribbon Week remind us that making good choices goes beyond one week of celebration. It is something we practice every day through our words, actions, friendships, and decisions. As parents and educators, we want our children to understand that they are capable of making good decisions, even when faced with difficult situations or peer pressure. Encouraging kindness, confidence, self-respect, and responsibility helps our students develop the skills they need to navigate everyday challenges and become positive role models in their school and community. Families, here are a few questions to ask your child this week: What is one positive choice you made today? How can you show kindness and respect to others? What does it mean to be a good friend? What can you do when you feel pressured to make a choice you know isn't right? How can you be a positive influence on those around you? Remember, our children are always watching, learning, and growing. The conversations we have at home, the examples we set, and the encouragement we provide all help shape the choices they make. Let's continue working together to raise confident, kind, and responsible children who know their worth, believe in themselves, and aren't afraid to make the right choices!
Thanksgiving Food Drive: Help Us Reach Our Goal! The season of giving is here, and our Peach Creek family is coming together to make Thanksgiving a little brighter for families in need! Our goal is to collect 200 Thanksgiving food boxes, and so far, we've collected 31 boxes! We need YOUR help to make this happen! Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to ensuring families in our community can enjoy a special Thanksgiving meal. |
House Celebration: Way to Go, RED HOUSE!
What an AMAZING month for our RED HOUSE Wildcats! We were so excited to celebrate our October House Champions, the RED HOUSE, who earned over 400 House Tickets throughout the month! These tickets represent our students demonstrating positive behavior, making great choices, and showing what it means to ROAR at PCE! This past Friday, every student in the Red House was rewarded with a FULL-SIZE candy bar to celebrate their hard work! We are so proud of our Wildcats! But the competition isn't over! This November, our Houses have a brand-new challenge, and the House that earns the most tickets will win a special celebration in the PCE ARCADE! We cannot wait to see which House rises to the top next! Keep earning those tickets, Wildcats, and remember to ROAR every day! |
Our Community Shows Up for Splendora Students!
This past Saturday, October 24, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation hosted its annual Men (& Women) Who Cook fundraiser, bringing together local businesses, educators, families, and community members for a night of great food and an even greater purpose! Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, donors, volunteers, 18 chef teams, and everyone who attended, we raised nearly $34,000 in net proceeds!
What does that mean for our students? These funds help the Foundation provide innovative classroom grants, scholarships, and educational opportunities that go beyond what traditional school funding can provide. When our community comes together, our students benefit! Thank you to everyone who continues to invest in the future of Splendora ISD. Together, we're building a brighter future for our Wildcats! We cannot wait to see which class will steal the show and earn this GRINCH-TASTIC celebration! |
NEW TO OUR NEWSLETTER: HOMEWORK HELPER!
We are excited to introduce a new section to our PCE newsletter called Homework Helper! Each week, we will share helpful resources and videos to support our families in understanding the math skills their Wildcats are learning in the classroom. These resources will review important concepts from the previous nine weeks while helping students build a strong foundation for the new skills they are exploring this nine weeks!
This week's Homework Helper focuses on 5th Grade Math! Our featured video explains how to convert numerical expressions into unit form as a mental strategy for multi-digit multiplication. This helpful resource walks parents through the strategy so they can better understand how their child is learning math and provide additional support at home.
Watch this week's Homework Helper video here: Together, we can continue building confidence, strengthening math skills, and supporting academic growth for every Wildcat! |
