Student Drop-Off and Pick-Up

Important School Arrival and Dismissal Procedures

  • Morning Drop-off Time: Students cannot be dropped off until 7:50 am. For student safety, please pull up to the front door. A staff member will greet your child each morning when the doors open.
  • Transportation Changes: Changes must be submitted in writing by 2:30 pm. You may send a handwritten note with your child or email the front office. For safety and security, we cannot accept transportation changes over the phone.
  • Early Check-out: If your child has an appointment, you must check them out before 3:30 pm.
  • Late Afternoon Pickup: Due to traffic flow and safety, student check-outs are paused after 3:30 pm. After this time, students must be picked up through the standard car rider line.

Car-Rider Route

The campus features 12 designated loading areas. To ensure a smooth traffic flow, vehicles from the two car-rider lanes merge before entering the loading zone.

Student car riders should be picked up and dropped off at the front of the school. Using the Car-Rider Route map, directions are as follows.

  1. Turn into the parking lot from Tram Road at the school’s main entrance.
  2. Proceed in two lanes as directed on the map.
  3. After the double-stack area, merge into a single lane. Follow staff instructions.
  4. After your child is safely dropped off or picked up, continue following the route to exit back onto Tram Road.

Car-Rider Tags

For the safety of all our Wildcats, it is extremely important that families who use car rider dismissal display their car rider tag each and every day. Car-rider tags allow our staff to quickly and safely identify approved vehicles and ensure that each student is released to the correct person. If you need a car-rider tag, please complete the following form and arrange to pick up your tag up from the PCE front office during school times. If you arrive at car-rider dismissal without a car-rider tag, you will be asked to park and wait until car-rider dismissal concludes. At that time, you will need to come inside the building and present identification to check your student out. This procedure is in place to protect our students and ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for all of our Wildcats.

Note: Do not discard your current paper tags. Keep any additional tags in other vehicles. These will inform staff that the vehicle remains authorized even without the new hang tag.
