A Note From the Principal

10/25/2026

Good afternoon, PCE Families!
What an amazing week we had at Peach Creek Elementary! First, I want to thank all of our wonderful families who joined us for our Fall Festival this past Thursday! It was such a joy to see so many of our Wildcats and their families come together for an evening of fun and fellowship. We are so grateful for the continued support of our PCE community and the relationships that make our campus such a special place!

Amazing Learning Happening at PCE!
This past week, our Wildcats were engaged in meaningful Tier 1 instruction across all grade levels! Our teachers have been intentional about incorporating instructional strategies that encourage students to think critically, including comparing and contrasting, while building deeper understanding of the concepts they are learning.

One of our campus instructional focuses this year is increasing student-to-student academic discussions through structured conversations. We have been so excited to see our Wildcats growing in their ability to communicate their thinking, use academic vocabulary, and engage in meaningful conversations with their peers. These opportunities allow students to deepen their understanding while building confidence in expressing their ideas!

This past week, our Instructional Team Leads, Campus Design Team, and Leadership Team participated in learning walks throughout our classrooms. During these visits, we focused on observing structured conversations embedded within Tier 1 instruction. It was wonderful to see our students actively engaged in learning and our teachers intentionally creating opportunities for students to discuss, collaborate, and demonstrate their understanding. We are proud of the growth we are seeing across our campus!

An Exciting Week Ahead: Book Fair and Fall Parties!
We are excited for our Wildcats to visit the Book Fair this week! Students will have opportunities to explore books and discover new adventures through reading. The Book Fair will also be open before school for students who are purchasing books.

Additionally, we are looking forward to welcoming our families back to campus this Thursday, October 29th, for our Fall Parties! The Book Fair will also be open during Fall Parties, providing a great opportunity for families to shop and enjoy the excitement of reading together!

As we continue through our second nine weeks, our focus remains on providing meaningful learning experiences, strengthening academic conversations, and ensuring every student continues to grow academically and personally.
Thank you, PCE families, for your continued partnership and support. We are so proud of our Wildcats and the incredible work happening each day at Peach Creek Elementary!

Every Student, Every Day; Mission: Growth Ready!

Morning Arrival

As we welcome our PCE Wildcats each morning, we kindly ask that all families dropping off students use the designated car rider line. When vehicles park and families walk students to the front entrance, it can cause congestion and slow down the car rider line for everyone.

Please know that we have designated staff members ready to greet and help walk our littlest Wildcats safely to their classrooms, so they are in great hands from the moment they arrive! Using the car rider line helps us keep morning arrival safe, smooth, and efficient for all of our Wildcats.

We also understand that some mornings can be a little more difficult, and a student may have trouble saying goodbye to their parent or guardian. If your student is having difficulty transitioning out of the vehicle, we will kindly ask you to park so we can keep the car rider line moving. Our PCE staff will work with your student to help them transition into their school day, and if additional support is needed, we will ask for your assistance to help them feel comfortable and ready to begin their day at PCE.

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and partnership as we work together to help every Wildcat start their day safely, smoothly, and successfully!

Car Rider Tags

For the safety of all of our Wildcats, it is extremely important that families who utilize car rider dismissal have their car rider tag displayed each and every day. These tags help our staff quickly identify approved vehicles and ensure that every student is released safely to the correct person.

If you need a car rider tag, please make sure to obtain one prior to dismissal. If you arrive for car rider dismissal without a tag, you will be asked to park and wait until car rider dismissal has concluded before coming inside to receive a tag and pick up your student.

We appreciate your understanding, patience, and partnership as we work together to keep every Wildcat safe during dismissal!

attendance matters

Attendance Matters

We are excited to kick off our October Attendance Challenge! Every day and every instructional minute at school matters, and throughout the month of October, our grade levels will be competing to see which grade level can earn the highest attendance percentage. The winning grade level will earn an exciting Obstacle Course Celebration on October 27th! We cannot wait to see our Wildcats show up, show out, and work together to help their grade level take the win!

Families, we appreciate your partnership in making attendance a priority. Please help us ensure that students arrive on time and are ready to learn by 8:35 a.m. and remain at school for the full instructional day until dismissal at 4:10 p.m. Being present from bell to bell helps our Wildcats maximize their learning, stay connected to their classroom community, and continue making progress toward their individual goals. Thank you for helping us make every day count as we live out our mission: Every Student, Every Day; Mission: Growth Ready!

Splendora ISD follows Texas Education Code §25.092, which requires students to attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered in order to earn credit or be promoted. This state rule applies to all absences, excused or unexcused. and includes both full and partial days. Being here each day, from start to finish, gives our Wildcats every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Together, we can make every day count!

Lunch Visitors

We love welcoming our families to PCE to enjoy lunch with their Wildcats! As a friendly reminder, space in our cafeteria is limited, and all designated visitor seating is located on the stage. If the stage reaches capacity, additional seating will be available in our Community Room near the front office.

To help us maintain a safe, organized, and enjoyable lunch environment, students may eat with their approved visitor(s); however, friends or other students are not permitted to join them at the visitor tables or in the Community Room. This helps ensure we have enough space for all of our visiting families while allowing our cafeteria routines to continue running smoothly.
For the safety and security of all of our Wildcats, we kindly ask that visitors remain only in the designated areas of the building. After checking in through the front office, lunch visitors should travel directly to and from the cafeteria or designated Community Room seating area. We ask that visitors please do not walk through or visit other areas of the building during their visit. If an adult needs to use the restroom while on campus, the designated adult restroom is located in the front office. Our front office team will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued partnership in helping us keep PCE safe while making lunchtime a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our students and families. We truly appreciate your help in keeping Every Student, Every Day safe and ready to learn!

Counselor Connection

This week, we are celebrating Red Ribbon Week by encouraging our students to make healthy, safe, and responsible choices! During our guidance lessons, students will learn about the importance of taking care of their minds and bodies, recognizing positive and negative influences, and developing the confidence to say "NO" to peer pressure.
Our goal is to empower students to make good decisions, stand up for themselves, and understand that being a leader sometimes means making a different choice from those around them!

Parents, take a few minutes this week to ask your child:
  • What are some healthy choices you can make every day?
  • What would you do if a friend encouraged you to do something you knew was wrong or unsafe?
  • How can you confidently say "NO" when someone pressures you?
  •  Who are the trusted adults you can turn to when you need help?
These small conversations help build confidence, strengthen decision-making skills, and remind our children that they always have support!

Thanksgiving Food Drive: Help Us Reach Our Goal!
The season of giving is here, and our Peach Creek family is coming together to make Thanksgiving a little brighter for families in need!
Our goal is to collect 200 Thanksgiving food boxes, and so far, we've collected 19 boxes! That's a great start, but we still have 181 boxes to go by Nov. 12th!
We need YOUR help to make this happen! Every donation, big or small, brings us one step closer to ensuring families in our community can enjoy a special Thanksgiving meal.

House Winners!

Our PCE Wildcats have been working hard all month to earn tickets for their HOUSE COLORS! Students earn tickets by demonstrating our ROAR expectations: Respectful, Optimistic, Adaptable, and Responsible! This month, the house that earns the MOST tickets will win a SWEET reward—a FULL-SIZE candy bar of their choice for each student in the winning house! We love seeing our Wildcats make positive choices and show their ROAR pride each day! We can't wait to announce our WINNING HOUSE this coming week! Who will take home the SWEET victory?

We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to all of our Wildcats, families, and community members for your hard work, dedication, and support throughout this fundraiser! Your efforts make a difference for our students and our campus, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make this fundraiser a success! We can't wait to celebrate our hardworking Wildcats!

Behind every Foundation event is a bigger purpose: giving teachers the resources to bring creative ideas to life and helping students discover new possibilities. We’re grateful to the people and businesses who make that work possible.

Homework Helper

NEW TO OUR NEWSLETTER: HOMEWORK HELPER!

We are excited to introduce a new section to our PCE newsletter called Homework Helper! Each week, we will share helpful resources and videos to support our families in understanding the math skills their Wildcats are learning in the classroom. These resources will review important concepts from the previous nine weeks while helping students build a strong foundation for the new skills they are exploring this nine weeks!

This week's Homework Helper focuses on 5th Grade Math! Our featured video explains how to convert numerical expressions into unit form as a mental strategy for multi-digit multiplication. This helpful resource walks parents through the strategy so they can better understand how their child is learning math and provide additional support at home.

Watch this week's Homework Helper video here:
Together, we can continue building confidence, strengthening math skills, and supporting academic growth for every Wildcat!
