Dear PCE Families,

What an amazing week we had at Peach Creek Elementary! It was so much fun seeing our Wildcats show their school spirit each day during our Homecoming dress-up days. Our students brought so much excitement and Wildcat pride to campus, and we ended the week ready to celebrate Homecoming!

We were also excited to welcome our families to PCE for our Fall Open House. It was wonderful seeing our students proudly share all of the hard work and learning taking place in their classrooms. Throughout the year, our Wildcats have been learning to take ownership of their growth by tracking their own data and setting individual goals with the guidance and support of their teachers. We loved giving them the opportunity to share their progress and goals with their families!

This week, we are excited to celebrate College Week at PCE! Throughout the week, students will learn about different colleges and explore the many opportunities and pathways available to them after high school. Even at the elementary level, we want our Wildcats to begin dreaming big, setting goals, and understanding that their hard work today is helping prepare them for their future.

Thank you, PCE families, for your continued partnership and support. We are grateful for everything you do to help make Peach Creek Elementary such a special place for our students. Together, we will continue working toward our mission of Every Student, Every Day; Mission: Growth Ready!

We love welcoming our families to PCE to enjoy lunch with their Wildcats! As a friendly reminder, space in our cafeteria is limited, and all designated visitor seating is located on the stage. If the stage reaches capacity, additional seating will be available in our Community Room near the front office.

To help us maintain a safe, organized, and enjoyable lunch environment, students may eat with their approved visitor(s); however, friends or other students are not permitted to join them at the visitor tables or in the Community Room. This helps ensure we have enough space for all of our visiting families while allowing our cafeteria routines to continue running smoothly.

For the safety and security of all of our Wildcats, we kindly ask that visitors remain only in the designated areas of the building. After checking in through the front office, lunch visitors should travel directly to and from the cafeteria or designated Community Room seating area. We ask that visitors please do not walk through or visit other areas of the building during their visit. If an adult needs to use the restroom while on campus, the designated adult restroom is located in the front office. Our front office team will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued partnership in helping us keep PCE safe while making lunchtime a welcoming and enjoyable experience for our students and families. We truly appreciate your help in keeping Every Student, Every Day safe and ready to learn!

Last week, our students continued building their empathy skills, learning how their words, choices, and actions can positively impact others.

This week, in celebration of College Week, our Growth Lab lessons are looking toward the future! Students will explore college and career readiness through age-appropriate conversations and activities designed to help them begin thinking about their interests, strengths, goals, and future possibilities.

Students will learn that there are many paths to success and that the skills they are building right now—working hard, asking questions, solving problems, being responsible, and persevering—can help prepare them for whatever path they choose.

Ask your child:

No dream is too big to start exploring! We are excited to help our students dream about their futures, discover new possibilities, and understand that the choices they make today can help shape where they go tomorrow.

Rescheduled Picture Day is almost here, Wildcats! We were able to get with the company and the rescheduled picture day will be October 5th. Get those outfits ready, bring your biggest smiles, and come ready to shine! We can’t wait to see all of our Wildcats smiling bright and showing off their PCE pride. It’s going to be a picture-perfect day at PCE!

We are excited to announce our September House Challenge winners—the YELLOW HOUSE! Throughout the month, our Wildcats worked hard to earn tickets for their Houses, and the Yellow House came out on top, earning an exciting trip to the PCE Arcade! We are so proud of their accomplishment and cannot wait to celebrate them!

Now it is time to kick off our October House Challenge! Our Wildcats will once again be working hard to earn House Tickets by demonstrating our ROAR expectations—Respectful, Optimistic, Adaptable, and Responsible throughout the school day. Whether they are in the classroom, cafeteria, hallways, playground, or anywhere on campus, our students have opportunities each day to show what it means to ROAR at PCE! This month, the House with the most tickets will win a sweet celebration—every student in the winning House will receive a full-size candy bar! Keep showing those ROAR expectations, Wildcats, and let’s see which House will take the win this month!

At Peach Creek Elementary, our parents’ voices matter! We value our families and believe your ideas, perspectives, and feedback are an important part of helping PCE continue to grow and make the best decisions for our students. During our Campus Needs Team meetings, we will discuss our campus goals, next steps, family input, and ways we can continue supporting the success of every PCE Wildcat. Our first Campus Needs Team meeting will be held on Thursday, October 8th, from 4:45–5:30 PM in the PCE Community Room.  If you are interested in being  a part of our campus needs team- please email Mrs. Sowell at jessica.sowell@splendoraisd.org.  We look forward to partnering with our families as we work together to make PCE the very best it can be for our students.  Stronger together for our Wildcats!
