Dear PCE Parents and Families,
What an amazing week it was at Peach Creek Elementary! We are so proud of all of our Wildcats for finishing strong as we wrapped up our first six weeks and prepared for progress reports. Our students have been working hard each and every day, and we are excited to celebrate the growth and accomplishments we are already seeing across our campus.
Our grade levels also wrapped up their attendance incentives with a well-earned trip to the PCE Arcade! We love celebrating our students for being at school, arriving on time, and making every instructional minute count. We hope everyone also enjoyed the student holiday on Friday and had a wonderful long weekend!
This week is going to be an exciting one at PCE as we show our Wildcat pride with our Homecoming Spirit Dress-Up Days! We cannot wait to see our students participate throughout the week as we gear up for Homecoming on Friday.
We are especially excited to welcome our PCE families to Open House this Thursday evening! This will be a wonderful opportunity for you to see all of the amazing things your students have been doing throughout the fall semester. From setting individual goals to tracking their own learning data, our Wildcats have been hard at work taking ownership of their growth. We cannot wait for them to share their learning, accomplishments, and progress with you!
Thank you, parents and families, for your continued support and partnership. Everything we accomplish at PCE is strengthened by the support you provide at home and the partnership we share as a school community. We appreciate you and look forward to another amazing week together!

As we welcome our PCE Wildcats each morning, we kindly ask that all families dropping off students use the designated car rider line. When vehicles park and families walk students to the front entrance, it can cause congestion and slow down the car rider line for everyone.
Please know that we have designated staff members ready to greet and help walk our littlest Wildcats safely to their classrooms, so they are in great hands from the moment they arrive! Using the car rider line helps us keep morning arrival safe, smooth, and efficient for all of our Wildcats.
We also understand that some mornings can be a little more difficult, and a student may have trouble saying goodbye to their parent or guardian. If your student is having difficulty transitioning out of the vehicle, we will kindly ask you to park so we can keep the car rider line moving. Our PCE staff will work with your student to help them transition into their school day, and if additional support is needed, we will ask for your assistance to help them feel comfortable and ready to begin their day at PCE.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and partnership as we work together to help every Wildcat start their day safely, smoothly, and successfully!

For the safety of all of our Wildcats, it is extremely important that families who utilize car rider dismissal have their car rider tag displayed each and every day. These tags help our staff quickly identify approved vehicles and ensure that every student is released safely to the correct person.
If you need a car rider tag, please make sure to obtain one prior to dismissal. If you arrive for car rider dismissal without a tag, you will be asked to park and wait until car rider dismissal has concluded before coming inside to receive a tag and pick up your student.
We appreciate your understanding, patience, and partnership as we work together to keep every Wildcat safe during dismissal!

Every day matters, and every minute counts! Thank you, families, for partnering with us to make attendance a priority and help our Wildcats get the most out of every school day.
Please help us ensure that students arrive on time and are ready to learn by 8:35 a.m. and remain at school for the full day until dismissal at 4:10 p.m.
Splendora ISD follows Texas Education Code §25.092, which requires students to attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered in order to earn credit or be promoted. This state rule applies to all absences, excused or unexcused. and includes both full and partial days. Being here each day, from start to finish, gives our Wildcats every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Together, we can make every day count!

We love welcoming our families to campus to enjoy lunch with their Wildcats! As a friendly reminder, space in our cafeteria is limited. All designated visitor seating is located on the stage. If the stage reaches capacity, additional seating will be available in our Community Room near the front office.
To help us maintain a safe and organized lunch environment, students may eat with their approved visitor(s), but friends or other students are not permitted to join them at the visitor tables or in the Community Room. This helps ensure we have enough space for all of our visiting families while keeping our cafeteria routines running smoothly.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued partnership in helping us make lunchtime a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our Wildcats!

Taking Empathy One Step Further
During our first cycle, students learned the basics of empathy—recognizing how someone else feels and showing care. Beginning the week of September 21, we are taking those skills further with our Empathy Extension Lessons. Students will practice:
- Seeing how their words and actions impact the people around them.
- Looking at situations from another person’s point of view.
- Finding the right words when a classmate or friend is going through a hard time.
- Responding with kindness, even during a disagreement.
- Understanding how small, everyday actions can change someone’s day.
Our goal is simple: we want students to see that empathy is not just something we talk about—it is something we put into action.
Try It at Home
You can help us keep the conversation going at home. The next time your child shares a story about a friend, sibling, or classmate, try asking:
- "How do you think the other person felt?"
- "What do you think they needed in that moment?"
- "What could you do or say to help?"
These simple questions give kids a chance to practice seeing the world through someone else's eyes.
Up Next: College & Career Readiness
Following our empathy lessons, we will shift gears to explore colleges and careers. Don't worry—we aren't asking elementary students to pick their life paths just yet.
Instead, we will introduce them to various careers, higher education options, and training paths. We want to help them connect what they are learning in school today with their strengths, interests, and future possibilities.
We will explore big questions together, including:
- What am I good at, and what do I enjoy doing?
- What kinds of jobs are out there?
- What does going to college or learning a trade look like?
- How do the choices I make today help me reach my goals tomorrow?
Family Conversation Starter
Ask your child this week: "If you could try ANY job in the world for just one day, what would it be and why?" You might be surprised by what they say!
A Quick Reminder
Little minds have big dreams. Our job as educators and families is not to pick their path for them, but to show them what is possible, help them discover their strengths, and remind them that their future is worth working toward.
🎒 Backpack Food Program
Peach Creek Elementary partners with the Montgomery County Food Bank to provide the Backpack Food Program at no cost to families or the school. Each Friday, participating students receive a pre-packaged bag of healthy, nutritious, easy-open food to take home for the weekend. If you would like your child to participate fill out the form here.

Rescheduled Picture Day is almost here, Wildcats! We were able to get with the company and the rescheduled picture day will be October 5th. Get those outfits ready, bring your biggest smiles, and come ready to shine! We can’t wait to see all of our Wildcats smiling bright and showing off their PCE pride. It’s going to be a picture-perfect day at PCE! |

Once a Wildcat, Always a Wildcat!
In celebration of Homecoming, the Splendora ISD Education Foundation is hosting a Class vs. Class Alumni Giving Challenge! Alumni are invited to donate in honor of their graduating class, and we’ll track which class shows the most Wildcat pride.
Consider giving an amount inspired by your graduation year—for example, a 1991 graduate might give $19.91. Please include your class year with your donation so your class receives credit.
The Class of 1980 has already set the bar high with a $3,800 gift supporting all 19 of our first-year teachers. Help us celebrate Homecoming by sharing the challenge with the Wildcats in your life!

Get ready, Wildcats! We are so excited to kick off our Fall Fundraiser very soon! Every dollar raised will go directly back to supporting our PCE students and campus.
Funds will help us provide even more fun and meaningful student incentives—like adding new games to our PCE Arcade, creating special rewards, and finding even more ways to celebrate our Wildcats for their hard work, growth, attendance, positive choices, and accomplishments throughout the year!
