We had another amazing week at Peach Creek Elementary! Our Wildcats continue to settle into their routines, work hard in their classrooms, and show us each day what it means to be ready to learn and grow.
This past week, our students began their Beginning of the Year MAP testing. MAP testing will continue this week as students complete their assessments and begin having individual data talks with their teachers. These beginning-of-the-year results provide our teachers with valuable information about each student’s current strengths and areas for growth. Teachers will use this data to create intentional intervention and instructional groups so that every student is learning and growing every day!
We also ended our week with some exciting House news! Congratulations to our Pink House for winning the August House Challenge and earning extra recess! Our Wildcats have been working hard to earn House Tickets by demonstrating positive choices and our ROAR expectations throughout the school day.
And now we are ready for a NEW challenge! During the month of September, the House that earns the most tickets will earn a trip to the Arcade Room! We cannot wait to see our Wildcats working together and showing their House pride throughout the month.
We also have a fun attendance challenge happening this week! If PCE reaches 95% attendance Monday through Thursday, our students will earn a Pajama Day on Friday! Every student and every day truly matter, so we need all of our Wildcats here and ready to learn. Be on the lookout for more information throughout the week as we work toward reaching our 95% goal together!

Safety Is a Shared Commitment: August 31–September 4
At Splendora ISD, creating safe and supportive schools takes all of us: students, staff, families, and our community. During August 31–September 4, our campuses will participate in activities designed to strengthen safety awareness, preparedness, communication, and connectedness across our district.
Throughout the week, students will engage in age-appropriate conversations and activities that help them understand what it means to be Safe. Seen. Supported. From knowing what to do during an emergency and identifying trusted adults to understanding when to speak up and recognizing how individual choices contribute to a safer school environment, each activity reinforces one important message:
Safety is not just something we practice; it's a commitment we make to one another.
We encourage our parents and community partners to continue these conversations at home and to help us reinforce a culture in which everyone understands their role in keeping our schools safe.

Morning Arrival
As we welcome our PCE Wildcats each morning, we kindly ask that all families dropping off students use the designated car rider line. When vehicles park and families walk students to the front entrance, it can cause congestion and slow down the car rider line for everyone.
Please know that we have designated staff members ready to greet and help walk our littlest Wildcats safely to their classrooms, so they are in great hands from the moment they arrive! Using the car rider line helps us keep morning arrival safe, smooth, and efficient for all of our Wildcats.

Car Rider Tags
For the safety of all of our Wildcats, it is extremely important that families who utilize car rider dismissal have their car rider tag displayed each and every day. These tags help our staff quickly identify approved vehicles and ensure that every student is released safely to the correct person.
If you need a car rider tag, please make sure to obtain one prior to dismissal. If you arrive for car rider dismissal without a tag, you will be asked to park and wait until car rider dismissal has concluded before coming inside to receive a tag and pick up your student.
We appreciate your understanding, patience, and partnership as we work together to keep every Wildcat safe during dismissal!
Attendance Matters
We are so excited to have all of our Wildcats back at PCE for another amazing school year!
Every day matters, and every minute counts! Thank you, families, for partnering with us to make attendance a priority and help our Wildcats get the most out of every school day.
Please help us ensure that students arrive on time and are ready to learn by 8:35 a.m. and remain at school for the full day until dismissal at 4:10 p.m.
Splendora ISD follows Texas Education Code §25.092, which requires students to attend at least 90% of the days a class is offered in order to earn credit or be promoted. This state rule applies to all absences, excused or unexcused. and includes both full and partial days. Being here each day, from start to finish, gives our Wildcats every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Together, we can make every day count!

Lunch Visitors
We love welcoming our families to campus to enjoy lunch with their Wildcats! As a friendly reminder, space in our cafeteria is limited. All designated visitor seating is located on the stage. If the stage reaches capacity, additional seating will be available in our Community Room near the front office.
To help us maintain a safe and organized lunch environment, students may eat with their approved visitor(s), but friends or other students are not permitted to join them at the visitor tables or in the Community Room. This helps ensure we have enough space for all of our visiting families while keeping our cafeteria routines running smoothly.
Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and continued partnership in helping us make lunchtime a safe and enjoyable experience for all of our Wildcats!
Counselor Connection
This Week’s Focus: EMPATHY
This week, we will be focusing on empathy—understanding and recognizing how others may be feeling and showing
kindness and compassion toward them. Students will explore ways they can put themselves in someone else’s shoes, listen with understanding,
and respond with kindness.
We’ll be encouraging our Wildcats to remember: “I may not know exactly how you feel, but I can choose to be kind.”
5th Grade Student Council Reminder
Calling all 5th graders! The Student Council application deadline is
Friday, September 4th!
Parents, if your child is interested in running for a Student Council position should make sure their
applications are completed and submitted by the deadline. Students will also need to obtain two teacher recommendations and begin preparing their campaign speeches.
We are so excited to see our 5th graders step up, lead, and make a difference at Peach Creek Elementary!
🎒 Backpack Food Program
Peach Creek Elementary partners with the Montgomery County Food Bank to provide the Backpack Food Program at no cost to families or the school. Each Friday, participating students receive a pre-packaged bag of healthy, nutritious, easy-open food to take home for the weekend. If you would like your child to participate fill out the form here.
Picture Day is almost here, Wildcats! We are so excited for Tuesday, September 1st! Get those outfits ready, bring your biggest smiles, and come ready to shine! We can’t wait to see all of our Wildcats smiling bright and showing off their PCE pride. It’s going to be a picture-perfect day at PCE!

Educator Grants Turn Great Ideas Into Student Opportunities
Last year, one Foundation educator grant helped create an arcade-style reward experience where students can celebrate their achievements in a fun and memorable way. It is just one example of how educator grants bring creative ideas to life and make a direct impact on Splendora ISD students.
Our 2026–2027 Educator Grant cycle is now open! Splendora ISD educators may request up to $3,000 individually or $6,000 as a team for innovative programs, resources, and learning experiences.
Educators, we would love to hear your ideas! Applications are due September 28 at 5:00 p.m.
