Message from the Principal - Jessica Sowell

I am excited to welcome our Peach Creek Elementary leadership team for the 2026-2027 school year! This team brings together experienced leaders, familiar faces, and new perspectives, all united by a shared commitment to supporting our students, staff, and families.

Each leader brings unique strengths and a passion for creating a positive learning environment where every child feels valued and empowered to succeed. I look forward to the great things we will accomplish together as we continue to grow and build upon the excellence that makes Peach Creek Elementary a special place.

Assistant Principal - Kera Firmin

Kera Firmin is honored to return to the Wildcat community as Assistant Principal of Peach Creek Elementary. A proud graduate of Splendora High School, she considers returning to the district that helped shape her educational journey a true full-circle moment.

Mrs. Firmin began her career in Splendora ISD, serving as a substitute teacher, paraprofessional, and classroom teacher for a combined total of 9 years. Throughout her 19-year career in education, she has also served as a District Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal in Shepherd ISD, as well as Assistant Principal in Hardin ISD. These experiences have strengthened her commitment to supporting student achievement, fostering strong instructional practices, and building meaningful relationships with students, staff, and families.

Mrs. Firmin is passionate about creating a positive school culture where every child feels valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. She looks forward to partnering with the Peach Creek community as the campus continues its tradition of excellence. As the saying goes, "Once a Wildcat, always a Wildcat," and she is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the district that helped shape her path.
 

Assistant Principal - Lindsey Mixon

Lindsey Mixon began her educational career in 2017 as a kindergarten teacher at Graford ISD before returning to the Houston area and joining Peach Creek Elementary. During her time at Peach Creek, she has served as a kindergarten, first-grade, third-grade, and special education teacher, Campus Humanities Instructional Coach, and now Assistant Principal.

Mrs. Mixon earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from McMurry University in 2016 and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2020. She has embraced numerous leadership opportunities, serving as an Engagement Team Lead, Design Team member, Process Champion, Mentor Teacher, and participant in the Exceptional Leaders I and II programs. She also led Peach Creek Elementary's first Capturing Kids' Hearts Family Night.

Mrs. Mixon is passionate about building strong relationships, supporting teachers, and creating meaningful learning experiences for students. She and her husband, Henry, have two children, Brynlee and Ryan, and enjoy spending time together as a family with their two dogs, Nala and Malcolm.
 

Program Facilitator - Patricia Tillery

Patricia Tillery earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Stephen F. Austin State University and later completed a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification in 2019.

Mrs. Tillery began her educational career in Splendora ISD in 2005 as a seventh- and eighth-grade reading and language arts teacher. She later served as an instructional specialist at Splendora Junior High and Splendora High School before becoming Programs Facilitator at Splendora Junior High in 2019. In 2022, she joined Peach Creek Elementary as Assistant Principal and now returns to the role of Programs Facilitator for the 2026-2027 school year.

With more than 20 years of experience in education, Mrs. Tillery is committed to supporting teachers, strengthening instructional programs, and helping students succeed. She and her husband, Wade, have been married since 2007 and have two sons, Lane and Nathan.
 

Instructional Coach - Lori Keefe

Lori Keefe has proudly served Splendora ISD since 2019, with Peach Creek Elementary serving as her home campus throughout her journey. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Sam Houston State University and has taught both third and sixth grades.

During her time at Peach Creek, Mrs. Keefe has served as an Engagement Lead and contributed to campus initiatives as a member of the campus Design Team. She is passionate about empowering teachers, building student confidence, and helping every learner reach their full potential, particularly in mathematics.

Mrs. Keefe and her husband, David, have a daughter, Mallory. Outside of school, they enjoy spending time together as a family and baking in the kitchen.
 

Instructional Coach - Lisa Stephens

Lisa Stephens is a proud graduate of Splendora High School's Class of 1989 and brings more than 30 years of educational experience to her role as Reading and Social Studies Instructional Coach at Peach Creek Elementary.

Mrs. Stephens earned a Bachelor of Arts in History from Sam Houston State University and later received a Master's Degree from Lamar University. She began her career in Splendora ISD, teaching first grade and middle school history before serving in Big Sandy ISD as both a teacher and high school principal. She later held leadership roles in Tarkington ISD as principal, Director of Curriculum, and Assistant Superintendent. After returning to Splendora ISD in 2024, she served as Assistant Principal at Splendora High School and later as a third-grade teacher at Greenleaf Elementary.

Mrs. Stephens is passionate about supporting teachers, strengthening instruction, and helping students achieve academic success. She and her husband, Jason, have been married for 32 years and have two sons, Hayden and Ben, a daughter-in-law, Kylie, and enjoy spending time with their family.
 

Counselor - Lelata Bennett

Lelata Bennett earned her bachelor's degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Lamar University.

With nearly a decade of experience in education, Ms. Bennett has served students in grades 4-8 as a special education teacher in a variety of settings, including resource, co-teach, applied skills, and inclusion classrooms. Her diverse experiences have strengthened her passion for meeting the unique needs of every student and fostering meaningful relationships with families and staff.

Ms. Bennett is dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where every child feels seen, heard, and empowered to succeed. She is excited to serve the students and families of Peach Creek Elementary and looks forward to helping every Wildcat thrive.
